World War II was a hard time for the American family. Both boys and men went to fight in the war. Industries lost the majority of their workers. The only way America's economy would survive was if their women joined the workforce.

Women stayed cautious about what jobs they took on. The goverment continued to push women into joining the efforts of the war, and did everything in their power to make the jobs more appealing to them.
